FPI Investigators on surveillance need to change their appearance to fit their surroundings. We carry multiple changes of clothes to allow us to follow our subject into many different venues without standing out. For example, wearing a nice suit while following your subject into a top restaurant may be appropriate, but you may stand out when performing surveillance in a local tavern. We are prepared with multiple changes of clothes. We blend in with the crowd. Think about the last time you were downtown and try to remember any faces that stood out, you didn’t notice us and neither will our subject.
